Custom Email Domains

What is a custom email domain?

The Custom Email Domains setting in CATS gives you control over your email DKIM settings for better deliverability. Having emails that are signed with DKIM appear more legitimate to your recipients and are less likely to go to Junk or Spam folders.

For a general overview of DKIM, see this article: What is DKIM?

Configuring a custom email domain in CATS

To configure DNS settings and improve email deliverability, you can verify your custom email domain by going to Settings > Administration > Custom Email Domain.

On that page, click Configure, enter your domain name, and hit Continue.

After adding your domain, we'll display the values to add to your DNS provider for your domain (GoDaddy, Bluehost, Wix, etc.) in the  Add This Value column.

Copy the values using the Copy button, and after logging in to your DNS provider, use the domain management tools to edit the SPF or DKIM settings and paste the values from CATS.

Once you've entered the values from CATS into your DNS provider, click Verify Settings in the upper right corner. If your settings do not verify immediately, it may take up to 24 hours for the settings to propagate.
