Where are Actions?
Recently we changed how checkboxes and mass actions work on data grids in CATS. Below we will explain the thought process behind this improvement.
The primary reason behind this change was to prevent accidental actions on the entire database. As you can see in the examples above, the old behavior of the Actions menu acted like everything was selected. This inevitably has led to many accidental mass tags, mass removals from pipelines, and even mass deletes.
Going forward, actions can only be taken on a record (or records) that have been selected. Actions can be made on all records only after the user chooses to Select All.
We believe this new behavior is much more intuitive, and will lead to a smoother and safer experience for everyone.
